             On November 25-28, 2009 the Embassy organized a visit of the delegation of the Belarusian State Concern of Food Industry «Belgospischeprom» to London. The delegation comprised of the «Belgospischeprom»chairman Mr I. Danchenka, JSC Slutsk Sugar Refinery director Mr M. Prudnik, and JSC Gorodeya Sugar Refinery director Mr M. Kryshtapovich.

            Belarusian delegation attended a number of official meetings organized by the International Sugar Organization. In particular, on 27 November Mr I. Danchenka addressed the 36^th Session of the International Sugar Council with the information on Belarus’ sugar industry and perspectives of its development.

            The delegation of concern «Belgospischeprom» also had a number of business meetings with key global sugar traders - «Cargill», «Vitol», «Sucden». The Embassy organized business meetings for Mr I. Danchenka with regard to potential export of the Belarusian food commodities to the UK market as well.
